sniffleuffagus

Still sick with a head cold... hopefully it goes away soon. Q. When you sniff in hard, can you feel compressing in your teeth? I was telling this to Jamie, and she said that has never happened to her. Happy Snotty Friday :)

Custom ACEO Album for Rick

Rick found the custom album listing in my Etsy and asked if I could make an album for his collection of 50 Artist Trading Cards. He liked the style of my Home Is album and wanted it to be a mixed media style with some elements of Day of the Dead. Rick is a cool guy, loves art & shopping and lives in Brazil. We've become nice penpals thru the process and I'm very happy with the album I've created for his ACEO collection :] (See all 50 pages here) Added: I emailed pictures of the album to Rick yesterday and he love love loved it :] He said it's better than he expected and can't wait to receive it :)

sneeky*peeky

I just completed a custom mini album... these were some of the embellishments I made for it. He asked for a day of the dead style (at first, i was like "a what"?). I'll show you the album tomorrow :] It's so gorge! I don't want to send it; I like it too much :) Now, I need a little nap. Head cold mania in this body :[

Steve Spotting!!!

It's my daily obsession to watch old 90210 at 2pm! And I just heard on the radio that Steve Sanders is in Winnipeg RIGHT NOW! Palpitations commence! Whose jeans are the worst? This one was on this week... and when he started dancing, I lost it!

My new makeup

L'Oreal recently asked me to try out their new Double Extension Beauty Tubes Mascara :) This is the makeup they use on Project Runway Canada...so I totally said yes! :] They sent me some schwag and I tried it for the first time on Valentines Day :) First, I put on the liquid felt tip liner :) Works best to do it with your eyes open. If you like to curl your lashes, do that after the liquid liner :) Then I tried to do smokey eyes using the 4step eyeshadow. I don't know where I went wrong, but it didn't look smokey or good (i had black spots along my nose). I remember Keith walking by, frantically saying, "Is that going to come off?!" I took the shadow off, touched up the liner and moved on. The mascara is a two step process. (It has two ends; you just take off one handle at a time.) First, use the white brush to plump up the lashes :) After letting it dry for 30 seconds, apply the black and voila :) I feel like my eyes smile more with this makeup :] I like to use my new liner/double mascara with a little peachy pink blush and lip gloss :) It's been brightening me up a lot :)

Sunday...

Mom & Amanda and I went to Old House Revival and the Flea Market yesterday. I found lots of great books (my new obsession, can't resist the cute old hardcover ones) and we found 2 more old chairs for the cabin. We're gathering about 10 strong nobby spindly chairs for our dining room table, and painting them great beachy colors. The one above has to stay the same, I said it would be a tragedy to paint over that.
"This is not a tragedy.

A tragedy is three men trapped in a mine
or police dogs used in Birmingham.

Monks burning themselves
in protest.

Butt out, Baby."
Momma doing her fave thing...picking out Hallmarks :] And we had mini dance parties as I found the music cards and called out the dance styles :] She said "I can't believe I'm doing this!" and I said, "I can't believe you are either". Olivia and Kennedy are potty training and wearing the cutest little girl panties ever...! Kennedy's pretty on the ball with it (she'll do anything for candy rewards) but Olivia's learning a little slower (which is fine). While we were there picking up Amanda, I was trying to help Olivia...but we had to leave before she went. So I told her, "Olivia, when you go, you can call LaLa on my phone and tell me the good news". Two hours later, my cellphone rang. I pick up and hear blank air and heavy kid breathing, "I peed. I peed." I was so proud of her :] That phone call made my day!

Guess who just realized she has ocd tendancies....

I spent a good hour daydreaming in the kids book section at value village this morning. I became obsessed with finding all the golden books and putting them together. Then I moved on to the disney classics collection. And i told myself, "WALK AWAY LEIGH-ANN! WALK A-W-A-Y!" PS. i'm totally in a hotel parking lot right now (using the wifi signal). Happy Friday!! :]

Tonight at Micheals in the t-shirt aisle.... my boyfriend starts charging me like a bull and humping me into the t-shirt racks. And i'm laughing and falling over and trying to push him off me, but my laughter is weakening me.... in walks poor young Michaels employee. She didn't know what to do. It was so funny and awkward!
