Flashback: Fisher Price

My sister, brother and I had this Tudor House when we were little and now Olivia and Kennedy play with it every weekend at the cabin :) We also had the plane, cash register, camera, phone, hippo, school desk, radio, record player, medical kit and a zoo. Come to think of it... most of our toys were Fisher Price and we loved every one of them :)
I'm thinking of buying a vintage Fisher Price little world for Olivia's and Kennedy's birthday because they love ours so much... these are the ones that I thought were amazing (mostly all from this shop, but I'm going to try to find one locally in Winnipeg or Springfield). Which one would you want if you were 4 ?
ETA: Looks like the Farm will be on my shopping list!! Thanks for all the feedback guys, Olivia and Kennedy will be so excited for the Moo sound!!

  3. I had the Barn! It was my all time favorite toy when I was kid. I still have some of the animals; the sheep was my favorite with his floppy little ears. That A-frame sure is cute though!

  4. Oh my goodness! What a magnificent walk down memory lane for me. ;) I had the barn for sure! I remember it making the "moooo" noise when you opened the doors. Aww....I need to find my photos to post now. I wish I still had that barn.

  5. oh i love the airport and the farm :D haha ok the little thing that makes you type the word for comment verification or whatever said liess hahahahaha

No i really do love the airport and the farm

  6. Difficult choice, but I think a farm is always a winner. The A-frame is cool, but it doesn't have as many pieces, she could do more with the farm - and then there's the aforementioned Moo!

  7. SO fun!!! We had almost all of those too! I so wish my parents had saved them! I loved the barn and the noise it made. The school was definitely a favorite too. My kids play with the newer little people... we started collecting when my 12 year old was only 1 and they're still her favorite toys to play with! =)

  8. I had a lot of fisher price too. Of the ones you listed my brother and I had the same house as you, the farm, airport, airplane, school desk and, village street. Gotta love hand-me-downs when your the youngest cousin of 20+ ;0)
Here is my opinion from my personal age 4 experiences. we didn't really play with the desk much, I think I just preferred the little people. We loved the house and the street. The street was great because there was so many different stores and places to play with, especially with two of us playing at the same time. We played with the airplane sometimes and the airport not so much. The camper and a-frame house is super cute though, tough choice. let us know if you pick one!

  9. i had the barn one and loved it - but the camper one is the cutest of the bunch!

  10. Luke says the family camper is his favorite. He also has the town and the tudor house at his Nana's and plays with it every time!

  15. oh! fisher price warms my heart! i had most of these growing up (my mom ran an in-home daycare) and i have such fond memories of playing with them. my favorite part was setting up the houses and furniture. i didn't really care what the people did - i just wanted them to have a comfy home. your nieces will love any of these!

  17. My cousins had the a-frame and the barn, and I loved going to visit them since I knew I'd be able to play with their toys... :)

What a great present idea for your nieces!

  18. LOVE Fisher Price :) My niece and nephew like to play with our old farm set when they go to visit my parents. And I was soooo excited last year (or maybe the year before?) when I went to Hallmark at Christmas and found they had a mini barn ornament..complete with moo noise when you open the door!

  20. I LOVE the campers the most, all of them, but its too bad they don't come with as many extras. I think Grandma has the ferris wheel LA, may have been J. and T.s. The A-frame is really cute also. Is that our house at the top, if it isn't, the bed foam is torn in the same place.
Had a very nice visit with you.
    Love you!
    Miss you!

  24. oooh the airport! my grandma had the airport at her place & I would always play with it! My mom had her old piano cleaned before Christmas and found one of the little people inside. I must have gotten it stuck inside there when I was younger (how? no idea!! haha!) She gave it to me in my Christmas stocking this past year. They were definitely some of my favorite toys growing up!

  25. Oh, this post is so cool! I had the tudor house, the desk and the phone. I played with the farm and the airport though.. like everywhere.

I think the first camper is so cute!

  26. I can't tell you how happy this post has made me! I had the house in the first picture, and the school days desk. I hadn't thought about these for years, and the instant I saw your pictures, I remembered every tiny little detail about them. Thanks for making me smile right at the start of the day - the sun is shining and it's going to be a very good day, I think!

  27. Wow, this post brought back memories!! I played with the airplane set constantly when I was little... Oh, those were the good old days! <3

  28. Wow! Thanks for bringing back memories! :)

  29. All of them! Your post brought back such happy memories. It's amazing how something that brings you such joy as a child can be completely forgotten about as an adult. Thanks for reminding me of happy childhood playtime!

  30. How awesome!! Just beware if you come across the little girl with the yellow ponytails that stick out on both sides (she was wood...this will tell you how OLD I am!). My brother threw her at me when we were little and her little pony stuck in my face, right by my eye!! My mother laughed (she always laughs at inappropriate moments) and I was furious...hee hee! Just something to keep in mind if you find her. I notice FP doesn't make her anymore! xoxo

  31. We had the farm, the schoolhouse and the airport! I can't wait 'til my babies are big enough...total choking hazards! I'd love to get the play desk.

  32. oooo! I want them all, but the pop-up camper is too fun! I have the Sesame Street that my hubby bought me off of ebay a few years ago, and my kids love it.

  33. I definitely had the farm and the school desk, but I remember playing with all of them. This post made me feel all warm and fuzzy. Thanks!

Now I am off to ebay to snap some of these up for my little girl.

  36. Oh my goodness, talk about flashback! My siblings and I had so many of these. The barn is an excellent choice - I've always loved the "moo" sound and the adorable animals. Little People toys have really gone downhill since we were kids!

  37. Amazing! They are so cute! My nieces loved my polly pockets so much I ended up giving them some of their own - the little ones in cases from 1990ish. I also kept the rest of mine at home. Everytime they come over to visit the polly pockets are in a cupboard and they get their favourites out to play with and I get to join in - it's so fun!

  38. Oh My Gosh! So great. Brings back so many memories. The school was my favorite...it had the wall that opened and was a green chalkboard!

My FAVORITE though was the big boat (not shown) it had a diving board and you could launch the little people by pressing and releasing the diving board.

  39. why can't they make toys like that anymore?!! It feels magical still when I play at the cabin with Olivia and Kennedy and the house, I love sliding the garage open and shut.. so fun. love a

  40. I would think the main street would be the most exciting. I have a pretty rad fp collection and the ones my daughter loves best are the ones with more "fun stuff" on the buildings. I have the a-frame and was so excited about it, but it is more cute than fun for her.

I had totally forgotten about that hippo - I thought I was going to be done with collecting for a minute until you reminded me of that guy!

  41. I had the full village growing up and I adored it !!! You can pretend up so many different things are happening in the village. It may be biased but im rooting for the village ! xo SueSan

  46. I'm pretty sure the one that I had was the family frame. I LOVED it. I made curtains and clothes for all the family and their bedrooms. It was SUPER awesome, and I played with it until I was way too old.
