Fill in the Blanks

Titles of this post could be: "It's Nipply Out" "i'm rich now" "The balloons stapled to my garage mean there's a party inside!" And I have an elderly polish neighbor who has come to all my garage sales and always asks other shoppers how much things are and tries to bargain with them. It's a highlight for sure. LA :]

little change of plans...

(Elsie took this photo when I was in Missouri) I came home at 8pm and asked Keith, "Can we have a garage sale tomorrow?". He laughed, and then realized I was serious :) I'm excited because we can clean out the spare room (aka. The Tornado) in preparation for a new big idea i have (not a baby), and make some money for our trip to Minneapolis next weekend :] So far, we've set up the garage with tables and created flow and departments, put some things on the tables. Now I need to go thru the spare room & we'll take everything out to the garage. Then go to the allnight Walmart and buy Garage Sale signs and a fat marker, then put them out on the blvds... get a float, and price everything. It's 12:25. Shoppers will be here at 9am :] Eeeeee! I LOVE GARAGE SALES! As a kid, working at our family garage sales was the highlight of my year, and looking back now, it was the beginning of me wanting to own a company one day :] So I will need to wait till the end of the weekend to share this album... ...But I promise, it's worth the wait, and I'll do a little giveaway when i share it :) Have a great weekend friends! Pretty Times

Keith's Mom Judy made this homemade chocolate pudding... she's a great cook & takes pride in the presentation of dinner as well :) In every way, she's a really beautiful woman :] Cheese Omelet for lunch :) This is always a good backup plan :) I pause a lot while preparing meals and enjoy the ingredients as inspiration :) Keith took this one, and I loved that he used my window technique for good lighting ;) I 'awed' when I found that photo in my memory card :) I love tomatoes. Top 2 favorite food (sandwiches is the other) :] We've been staying up late working together, and last night, we cooked this awesome dinner together (at 11pm) :] It was SO delicious!!! One pot: Roast Chicken, Golden Potatoes, Baby Carrots, and Stuffing! See you next time, I'll be showing my 4th Custom Album... it's my favorite so far!! Btw, I've been twittering lately. Mostly silly quotes and accomplishments :) The posts are usually in the middle of the night ;) Follow here. Have I mentioned the cuteness of my Mom having a twitter?! heeehehehe :)

Mini Album & Etsy Update

This is the album I taught and made at LuneVintage in May :] I *love* the poppin colors and patterns, now I just wanna add some stories to it and finito :) Love you Momma! Dimensional Journaling, from RVA

Rachel taught the Dimensional Journaling class at the RVA Craft Weekend... and it seriously moved me! I loved the idea of creating on the wood surfaces using paint, paper, fabric, etc. Rach taught us that from the surface, you can share what's safe and visible to most already. But like in life, when people take the time to look at your pieces, they'll discover what's below the surface :) I made my project about my 20 days in Missouri, and it was so fun :) I have a few more surfaces that I might add more memories to... but I'm also happy with it the way it is :) Enjoy... Rachel, you are such a special friend to me now :) Thank you for the talks we had, and trusting me with your heart and secrets and being such a good ear for mine:) Loveyou! Snaps & Some Short Stories

Wool walls always inspire me :] Going to the cabin last weekend, Kody suggested a new route and we totally misunderstood the directions, ended up on a sketchy road to no where in our hatchback. At one point, we thought we were in quicksand. Really Kody? While I was in America, Keith got locked in the porch and had to break into our house. Can you hear me laughing so hard at cutie as he told me this over the phone? I love Parrots. I was reminded how much I used to do my parrot impression when we met "Amy" at a model car store a few weeks ago :) One night when Amanda (my sister) still lived on the same street as me, she came over and we obsessively played dominoes till 3am on a worknight, listened to Gwen Stefani "Bananas" on repeat and did Parrot Impressions on the kitchen table. I miss those times when she lived 7 houses down. I taught two classes in May and they were fun and went well :) Thanks to everyone who came, i loved meeting and teaching you :] June class times will be posted here soon :) Time to make cheese omelets and get to work :) Have a nice Sunday, Nascar day ;)

Welcome's Blog MakeOver

Welcome hired me to give her blog a makeover and it turned out really pretty and reflective of her art style :] She's very happy with it and Joe did a great job with formating and final details! Thanks Welcome!! :] --- Funny Story, A few nights ago, it's dark in our room, I hear this weird sound and I ask Keith, "What are you doing? He says, "Playing Bedar" LA: "What?" Keith: "Listen!" (He was playing "bed guitar" with the loose stitching strings on our duvet) We cracked up. And apparently it's time for a new blanket. Warning/Parental Advisory: (Don't go to this if you're pure minded and want to stay that way.) TextsfromLastNight.com (TFLN as I call it) is THE funniest thing in a long time. I woke Keith up I was laughing so loud at some of them morning.

I loved receiving this special gift from Shaina! this weekend...

Amanda, Kody and I made supper for Mother's Day :] We had bbq steaks, vegetable kabobs, cheesy potatoes, caeser salad and for desert, apple crisp! Mom was very pleased and it was a fun family meal :] And I got to see my Grandma and Grandpa Lemonlaw! Before I left for Missouri, my Grandpa suffered a pretty severe stroke, and we were all really scared and worried. But i was SO impressed with how much he's strengthened and you could hardly tell! Plus, he was funnier than ever! Kennedy and Olivia were loving making their own jewelry with these pop beads this weekend :) Lola and Tom each ran away once! This seems to be their favorite thing lately, and they've gotten really good at getting out (at the cabin AND at home!). It's funny at the cabin, it's scary at home (b/c of traffic). And Momma baked Cinnamon Buns! They were gone by Monday afternoon when we all went home ;) In Other News: - Keith and I are working on a Freckled Nest Shop update for later this week. We've BOTH been making new things, I can't wait to show you! - I'm teaching my Summer Love Workshop at Aquabooks tomorrow, you can still sign up here :] - My friend Autumn got the BIGGEST COOLEST GIFT EVER from her church! I'm SOOOOO happy for her, watch this video and prepare to cry in amazement and happiness! - I saw this picture today, and I miss Gigi... - Back to my studio, I have lots of awesome Custom Albums to finish over the next 2 months :)
