my birthday weekend :]

A few surprise birthday things... very nice cards, a bouquet (of paper!) and magazine from Thelma, handmade turquoise owl earings from Inka, HB themail from Autumn, a handmade necklace from Coralee and a manicure giftcert from Keiths sweet mom and dad :), and above, the roses Keith gave me :)

On my pantless day off', I did everything I planned :]
...and a few things I didn't plan.
Didn't Plan:
- to hit a drunk man with my car (he's okay. for sure)
- eat icecream for lunch (it was a day of dessert meals, lol) - want to buy a pair of seaglass croc maryjanes (usually i hate crocs...especially those gumball-colored kind)
- finally figure out how to hook up a dvd player all by myself

I crafted and made a not-so-mini clear mini-album Friday. I used colored plastic binder dividers and an old binder ringthing from a 5star agenda...and cut/sized and corner-rounded for hours. Then had fun making the cover. Over time, I'll add photos and text to the clear pages and add mini pages and stories and quotables :)

It was really nice spending a day by myself just making stuff for fun, sitting at my desk in pajamas and big messy hair with Lola trying to eat my paper. Just like the good ole days ;)
*
In the evening, handsome Keith came in carrying red roses! Arranged very nicely :) So pretty! Then we went for a drive across the city and went to The Keg for supper. It was SO good! The cheese toast...mmmm, yum!! (we're still talking about it, lol) Steak dinner was SO delicious! Thanks babe!!
*
After supper, we drove to the revolving restaurant elevator to look at nightime-Winnipeg (here's daytime). It was amazing...and romantic...and perfect :) And we went for a walk on "our sidewalk" (total seinfeld thing) listening to music thru my cellphone. Ghetto. lol.
*
Then we went for slurpees (People: can you believe Inka's never had a slurpee!? Poor deprived Finlander! Ink, I took a picture for you.) Also, just wanted to share my invention. Use a hotcoffee sleeve on your slurpee and your hands won't get cold. Yep :)
*
Then we went for a long night drive outta town in the Mustang (named Mulva, lol) and Keith opened it up on River Road (really good road for a cruising and a bruising). The drive was awesome...and at one point I was squeel-screaming and grabbing the "hs" handles... very fast and fun! :)

My birthday was so perfect!

Saturday, we went shopping and Keith got prettymuch a whole new wardrobe... hat, sunglasses, lots of shirts, (no shorts;), and 2 pairs of shoes (adidas and vans). And he bought me a pair of Superstars for my birthday (below). Wearing them right now. Totally love! (holy houndstooth ankles!)
After shopping for like 5 hours, we went to Gramela's for the best hamburger and "chips" (homemade fries)... and had an awesome visit. And I showed Grandma the album I made of Grandpa. It was nice seeing her smile as she looked thru it :]
(I'll post it here once I have it photographed.)
*
And Keith bought 2 more seasons of Seinfeld(7&8). We should make a youtube video of a regular LA & Keith convo...lol, so many seinfeldisms, george-motions and laughs.
We watched 'the Seven' episode last night. *whistle(fingerdraws "7")whistle*
*
Sunday, I went for lunch at Olive Garden with Mom, Amanda and Kody. Fun, giggles & fun :) Then we went to the mall and mom says, "Okay LA. For your birthday, Dad and I are buying you jeans that *fit*"... so we picked out a sweet pair of tight jeans that had Amanda staring at my butt as I walked around. They're good apparently. lol.
*
And Amanda and I snuck and shared a changing room as usual so we could see what each other was trying on. I love my sister. We're so fun :) We did this in the States one time...and I put on "the magic dress" (that black&white polka dot one) and we both were freaking out excited at its perfect fit and dotness. The changing room holds many jumps and laughs for us.

Sunday night, Keith invited me to his Grandma's 80th Birthday party. I met more of his family. Very nice :) His Grandma is such a sweetheart... :)
I think it's impossible for Grandmas not to be the best thing ever. I love my Grandmas so much :]
