the Saturday date
Saturday mornings we instinctively wake up and say "Wanna go to the flea market?"... and we dooooo! :) It's been a while so there were lots of new treasures to be scooped and photographed :) The list of juicy finds is too long, so I'll share fun glimpses of my finds through photos :)
I think my favorite finds ever have been our chair, my banana seat bike (adult) and seafoam gumball machine :) What's your fave find (link to photos if you have)?

Here are some other things that also caught my eye but I left for other Winnipeg hunters :)
Tomorrow... the big winner & bonus winner announced! Tonight's your last chance to enter! :)

ReplyDeletei am SO going to that flea market when i visit next month! eeeeeeee!!!
ReplyDeletewhat would you say are the best flea markets in winnipeg?
ReplyDeleteQ. what would you say are the best flea markets in Winnipeg?
ReplyDeleteA. The only one I go to is called Thirsty's Flea Market at Ellice & Erin (1111 Ellice, basement). There's a few more in the city but they're too shoppy for me (vendors clean up wares & 'display' them...which ends up causing higher prices and takes away the feeling of 'discovering' a treasure amongst the market.)
If you go to Thirsty's, Brian's the best... he runs the whole aisle on the very right and stocks good stuff :) Keith and I like him, he's super nice :) If thirsty's had a photobooth, it would be my official favorite place in the city!
love your finds! here the fleamarkets aren't any good. ohhh i'm crossing my fingers for the give away, hope i win so much! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh my! I wish I were in Winnipeg so I could go snag that pink gumball machine! I LOVE it! Great finds!
ReplyDeleteWhat a score! Lucky girl;)
ReplyDeleteLove the little yellow TV! I'd watch it in the public transport, lol (I wouldn't but sometimes I get bored there :P) I wish we had these flea markets in here too..
ReplyDeleteFlea markets are the best. Ever!
ReplyDeleteI love your finds. It seems like your flea market must be better than mine, because rarely do I find such treasures, and I often roam flea markets for hours.
ReplyDeleteOh, and wow the chair find is amazing! I absolutely love the style of the chair! As well as the gumball machine. Both such wonderful colors!!
ReplyDeleteHey Leigh-Ann,
ReplyDeletewatching LA TV video, and wanted to tell you that YES, you should get the Whip It soundtrack!:) incase no one else said it was a good one.
looks like an awesome flea market! my favorite find is actually from a yard sale, and i blogged about it here: http://yourstrulydear.blogspot.com/2009/07/az-part-5-chair.html
ReplyDeleteit's a chair as well :]
xoxo yourstrulydear
Hey Leigh-Ann it's Brittany, I was the one that had asked about the flea markets!
ReplyDeleteThirsty's is actually the only one I go to as well because it's close to my Nana's house, I just hate that it's only open on Saturdays and Sundays. I'm definitely a huge fan of the place. The only other one I have been to is the one down Osbourne but it seems like things are way more exensive there, probably just because of the sort of traffic they get there? I haven't been in so long, Im definitely in the mood for some treaure hunting now!
That picture of the egg cups is remarkable! I've been collecting egg cups since I was about... 16 and they are hard to find! I love them! They're old and hardly made anymore and I have so many different ones! Oh how I love thrifting!
