My 2010 Goals

IMG_9336 I made this mini album in 1.5 hours late last night to record my goals for the year ahead. I'm a really visual person, so flipping through it this year and crossing things off will be a good motivation & reward! I used an old photo album (thrifted for 99cents) and removed the plastic sleeves on each photo page. Then recovered the inside 'skins' of the book with a fun locker paper from BamPop and started adding my goals to the pages. I'll share 13 of my 21 goals for 2010 with you... (after the first layer of pages, I drew out my goals with a black fine tip marker) Happy Wednesday! - I have a surprise to share later this week... one of my goals already accomplished!! :) - Now I'm off to catch up on my email :) - Next post: Pretty Thrift Pictures from my Weekend :] - Enter the Big Giveaway here.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Olivia and Kennedy are still wondering when you are going to take their 2 and 3 year old booth pics, maybe you need a time machine. The squirrels are very happy where you have them, I know where they are, and mom your squirrels are fattening up on the turkey you think is safely stored in the shed. ps. gross. If you quit coke for a year I will take you out on a date LA. Love Matt lol

  29. Awesome! I made just a list of my 2k10 Goals and it really is not appealing. Your book is amazing! MAybe i need to be more visual too.

and i love your lose 2 pounds each month goal! it seems very achievable than just putting there : lose weight or something. i need to start on that too.

is the squirrel thing a new product of yours? or r u planning to find yourselves a new home? ^_^ cuteness!

  30. i would love to make one of those! i've been trying to think of a semi private way to keep my goals visible, and this would just do the trick! thanks for sharing LA.:)

  35. This is frikkin fabulous! I can't stop my eyes popping out of my head. Gosh! What I wouldn't give to be able to put something like this together... I think one day when I move a bit closer than 1700km from the nearest craft store, I'll attempt it. You have inspired me! Good luck with all your goals, can't wait to see you posts on them all :)

  36. Crap. I wrote a whole long response about squirrels, toasters, a formal letter to said squirrel, Jill, Lacy, Amanda and Mom... but Blogger ate it... and I'm feeling prego queasy and tired and I don't wanna type it out again. HMPH.

I miss your pretty face. <3

  37. Thanks for sharing your goals! I love the no McD in 2010. That sounds like a goal of mine! Their french fries are addicting :(

    ReplyDelete
  38. We cut out McD's last year and now if I happen to eat any fast food my belly doesn't love it at all. Don't do soda either unless we are having a mixed drink.

Love your goal book! Right up my alley!! I have a few from my studio I could alter or even a coffee filter or paper bag album! Got tons of those lying around!

Squirrels terrify me so I would politely ask them to move along also.

2 lbs. a month would be a great idea as I'm am holding onto 15 that I really don't love. (i hate exercise too! eek! I wrote that really?)

I so wish I lived near you; I would be your assistant for no pay at all as long as you promise to keep inspiring me. S.E.R.I.O.U.S.L.Y. I would.

Have a great day and see you at SS!
    ((hugs))

  41. Good luck to you, LA! I struggle most with losing weight, I also have that goal in common. I wish we had real photo booths around here, all I've seen are the digital ones in the mall. :(

  42. i admire your ambition dear girl!

  43. BuenoBueno: I live in Winnipeg Manitoba (Canada). It's the province right above North Dakota :)

Thank you for so many nice comments everyone!! :)

Fill-ya-in: I have a squirrel (or two) living in my roof... but I have no attic to get up there and access them. So once I get my new roof in the spring, they're "lifting off the lid" and I'll be able to confront my noisy visitors. Hopefully they won't enter my house before then, I'm paranoid I'm going to have a Christmas Vacation moment any day now!!!!! ;)

  44. *no attic opening/access i meant

  45. Completely awesome! Love your handwriting too.

Hats off to you! :) Glad to hear you are coming to Cali, you should see about doing a few teaching gigs while out here, or maybe you already are? I could give you names of shoppes, etc, but you may already be hookedup! Thanx again! Style School Student Shanti

  53. I am in love with this. I am moving soon, I think I will make one as soon as I move 8 hrs away, thats a good time to start resolutions in my opinion! :)

    ReplyDelete
  54. this is such a great idea! I've been sort of "waiting" (procrastinating) on finishing my resolutions list until I could find a way to make them look cute and keep my attention, so I'll actually do them!

also! I grew up in Nevada, MO and most of my high school friends now live in Springfield. I haven't been there in about 2 years, and I too would like to take a trip there to visit my friends :)
