My new makeup

L'Oreal recently asked me to try out their new Double Extension Beauty Tubes Mascara :) This is the makeup they use on Project Runway Canada...so I totally said yes! :] They sent me some schwag and I tried it for the first time on Valentines Day :) First, I put on the liquid felt tip liner :) Works best to do it with your eyes open. If you like to curl your lashes, do that after the liquid liner :) Then I tried to do smokey eyes using the 4step eyeshadow. I don't know where I went wrong, but it didn't look smokey or good (i had black spots along my nose). I remember Keith walking by, frantically saying, "Is that going to come off?!" I took the shadow off, touched up the liner and moved on. The mascara is a two step process. (It has two ends; you just take off one handle at a time.) First, use the white brush to plump up the lashes :) After letting it dry for 30 seconds, apply the black and voila :) I feel like my eyes smile more with this makeup :] I like to use my new liner/double mascara with a little peachy pink blush and lip gloss :) It's been brightening me up a lot :)

  3. Looks good! I don't usually wear mascara since I have short, sparse Asian eyelashes... and yes, good mascara is supposed to open up your eyes more and make them look more smile-y!

  4. Hey LA~~~ Do you own any make-up brushes? That is what I use to put on my shadows. When you dip your brush into your shadow flick it and give it a little blow before putting on your eyes. It also helps to use a primer on your lid before applying shadow for sake of shadow flying all over the place like on your nose. I would also recommend pressing your eye shadow on vs. sweeping. I'm not a make up artist by any means but I take great pride in it. Its what I wanted to be my whole life...a cosmotologist.

    Hope this helped! Angela

  6. Lala, oh how I enjoy your smile even though you messed up, you look like you were giggling about it. that's funny. I am sooo stuck up when it comes to make up. Two years ago I decided to only use Rimmel and Max Factor. I will use anything free, like my friend have given me Clinque. I should try that mascara though, looks ace!
