Eco-Journal Giveaway!

Enter to win this eco-journal (and journal accessories) made by my friend Holly! I have this journal too...and it's awesome :] Enter your name in the comments and tell us about something that makes you happy :) I fell for Holly one dark and stormy night while i was hopping thru flickr... I found her art journal pages & embroidery and i was instantly like "eeeee"! THEN! IT HAPPENED! I saw the name of a small town near Winnipeg (my home), and I realized we live like--- 1/2 an hour from each other. That led to me stalking her blog and emailing her saying "hi, can we be friends"! I totally admire her artistic range, style and passion! Thanks for inspiring me so much Holly! :]

  3. Supportive and encouraging friends & family are making me really happy these past few days and feel a little bit better about a recent illness diagnosis. And...when my 4 year old insists on eating shock tarts and making a face EVERY time but he still keeps eating them. It cracks me up. And the movie Step Brothers because I watched it last night and almost peed myself, I was laughing so hard. And when you and Holly post new blogs...because I stalk you both...but only in a good way. :)

  6. Being a young mom of three (ages 5,4 and 2 all at home) days tend to bring me down more often then I would like. So I am constantly finding things that make me smile. The one constant are my kids. You can see why http://www.flickr.com/photos/oreofairy/3178104636/
On another note the journal is lovely. Also I enjoy your blog it is inspiring to see your creations. (They are lovely too btw)

  8. Right now I am incredibly happy - I am home on break from college and just made a very late dinner for my basketball-playing high school senior of a sister. Now we are all snuggled up underneath tons of blankets on her bed watching my favorite movie "Pride and Prejudice." It's going to be a great night!

  15. Finding new blogs that inspire me makes me very happy! If you hadn't found me on flickr I wouldn't be here. I love that it's so delicate a connection, pure chance. Now, are we allowed only one something? Really? Not a hope!
My son getting lost in the giggles makes me very happy.
Crisp new bedlinen makes me happy.
Things children say make me happy - they are so honest and whilst it's not always what you want to hear, sometimes it's the best. On a visit my 10 year old neice announced "I love your kitchen, it always smells so good' - how to make your aunty love you all to bits! t.x

  17. LOL, fabulous crafty give-aways make me happy?

No seriously, sitting on Sunday mornings reading the Post Secret Blog with my coffee makes me happy. It's kind of become my church as my "real church" experiences have made me steadily more and more unhappy over the last ten years. -e

  18. The last thing that made me really happy was taking my dog up into the mountains and watching him roll around in the fresh snow. He's quiet and never barks, so I was witnessing a quiet ecstasy. He looked like a puppy again.

  19. That's so cute!
What makes me happy? When my 3 year old sneaks into our bed while we are downstairs watching tv. Then when I go to bed I have to pick her up and carry her into her bed, and she's all warm and soft and sweet.

  25. What an amazing giveaway. I am enetering on my husband's behalf - he just doesn't know it. I fell in love with the poetry of his soul. He proposed to me in a poem! He hasn't written in his journal for a while now...maybe an incredibly organic one like yours may inspire him to write again. And that would make me very happy.

One thing that makes me happy is Winter weather. It gives you an excuse to be a lazy bum, watch movies, eat junk food and nap all day long:) And of course its beautiful. Hence the reason why I have to go move to like Alaska or something.

something that makes me really happy is when I was younger and I would visit my grandma, i would sit in one of the empty rooms and listen to the birds chirp and the wind blow through the trees and i would fall asleep with the sun hitting me in the face. I always remember that when i need some peace from everything.

  34. What a gorgeous piece of handmade loveliness. As for things that make me happy, well, there's a time in the morning just after everyone else has left for the day and just before I settle down to doing the dishes where it is just me, curled on the couch, with a warm mug of chai and my cat on my lap. If I'm feeling really lazy and indulgent I'll turn on Mythbusters and snack on some cereal straight from the box. It's the very best way to start the day.

    What makes me happy??
Listening to Olivia and Kennedy play and talking to their dollies and the love the girls have for each other. It's SO sweet and they will always have a best friend.

Going to the cottage and relaxing, NOT working, just for a day at least.

Having everyone at the cottage together, even though its hectic.

    Love Momma

Soo many things make me happy!!! Spending time with my wonderfully creative boyfriend, working with colors in every imaginable way, curling up in the sofa with a good book and my cute little cat, and reading magazines, books and blogs that inspire me! Among a bunch of other things... :)

  41. i miss my creative crafty classmates. this journal is spiffiness itself.
things that make me happy are often the simplest things: a huge mug of hot tea, a cozy blanket & a good book. sincere joyful surprise comments & letters. photographs full of light & ordinary things & human emotion.

  42. Walking into the thrift store makes me happy - I feel a sense of calm and at the same time excitement of what I may find. I'd be happy if I could thrift every day. I usually manage 4 to 5 times a week which I guess is still a lot, but I have to make time for the other things which make me happy - my family and creating!

  48. I am so glad I found you whilst blog hopping and am adding you to my 'followers' list so that I do not lose you.

The journal is adorable - never seen anything like it!

I would love to record happy thoughts in it on a daily basis. It is so easy when times are tough to forget all the little things that make one happy.

My little pet chickens scratching around in the snow bring such joy. Lots of simple things. Taking a tray of home baked cakes out of the oven. Sunshine on a rainy day - then a rainbow. Hearing good news about a battle with an illness. Children and grandchildren. Oh so very many things - I am not eloquent enough to convey them all here. Perhaps with a journal to 'confide in' I might just improve.

Off to catch up with more of your past posting and sigh over your amazing talent.
