we play drive thru

cooking dinner last night, lola kept visiting me thru the kitchen window. so i'd give her a kiss on the nose and a cookie. she kept coming back and i kept giving kisses and cookies. * let's discuss my hilarious Grandpa. today i was at the mall buying socks (*cough* and cute boots) and i spotted my grandparents (cool, cause they live outta town and i miss them) so grandpa says lets go for supper "my treat". thanks grandpa :] we go to food court/subway. grandma gets a soup (it was a meal, she crumbled crackers in it) i had my usual pizza sub (same since 1998). grandpa had japanese food (with 3 packets of soya sauce). and grandmas asking me how i'm doing... "financially". she says she worries about me (i'm doing okay). and then grandpa goes into how to "be economical". (i'm really just telling this story cause it will make momma laugh.) he goes into how you can buy 4litre milk at superstore for 30cents off a jug, but theres a limit so you should buy one of each percentage (1%, 2%, homo, etc) and mix your milk to get it to the percent you like, then freeze it. yes. he actually does this. for 30cents savings. and i think its probably THE funniest thing ever! (take a moment and picture grandpa mixing jugs of milk.) then he carries on "at any rate, stupid buggers quit so now i go to costco. but they're no better. so i'm checking giant tager" (tager=tiger) so i just can't stop giggling at him and side hugging him. and grandmas eating her soup and being gorgeous :) then i tell them how the boots i bought were regular 79.00 and i got them for 25. and he says, "see, now you're economical." it was the best.

  3. YOU'RE GOING TO BE IN TROUBLE!!!Wait till they read this, at least you didn't put their names in. I hear about this ALL THE TIME. I can just see it happening, spilling more milk than money is saved. And for 30cents.
I didn't comment earlier because I was watching The Biggest Loser and my favourite girl Ali won and then I went for a walk to Day. Hope you had a great day Leigh-Ann and Keith, cruising!!

  6. grandparent's are the best!
    :O)
ps...tell your grandpa that he will definately find the best 'economical' price on a 4L of milk at Giant TAGER!!! ( hahaha, so funny ) it is usually around $2.84 for a 4L of 1% and if he wants to mix his milk, the other variety's are also cheaper than Superstore, Sobey's Costco and Safeway, so he will have a wonderful afternoon with saving $$$ and mixing up his milk...and he really won't lose much if he spills a drop of it!

    heeheehee...
    :O)
