I thrifted these delicate crochet coasters last year when Violet was in town and they're still inspiring me :)
I recently made a commitment to myself not go thrifting till September (i usually go weekly). It's a good decision for me because I was collecting too much stuff and realized I need to evaluate what I actually neeeeed. I'm working on a long-term spring cleaning over the next few months so it'll be smart to not bring in more while I'm trying to let go ;)
What kind of Spring Cleaning are you doing?
getting rid of 1/2 of the things i own... is that A+ cleaning?
ReplyDeletewell... don't give me my gold star till i actually get it done. :)) LOVE YOU!
i have been working on clearing out and redesigning the "flow" of my studio loft today, which is a project i loooooooove!
ReplyDeleteas for the rest of the house, i have been setting a timer for fifteen minutes once a day and just clearing out one little space.
wooohoooooo for spring! <3
wow. i am so loving that ....the colors. awesomeness. great job pretty!
ReplyDeleteI cleaned the crumbs out of the toaster. baby steps...baby steps...
ReplyDeleteWell, I could never quit thrifting, but that's why I have to start selling again - My collection is getting scary looking...pretty but scary. We all gotta do what we gotta do. XO
ReplyDeletewe are moving and i am a hoarder. my boyf is seriously depleting my thrifted collections.
ReplyDeleteNO thrifting!!!
ReplyDeletethat is all i heard.
wow.
that would be incredibly hard for me to do!
good luck sista with the commitment and with the cleaning out. . . i LOVE spring cleaning. if i had it my way. . . i would make spring cleaning a year round event! ;)
Those are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOur home needs constant cleaning, it's one of those houses that collect dust! We moved in here last year and we are still working on making it our perfect home! I tend to collect things too, but I don't know if I could go without thrifting until September...yikes!! Have a wonderful day!

i, too, have put a stop to the thrifting for a bit!! for the past week i have been pretending niecy nash is next to me and going through each room getting rid of things.
ReplyDeleteif i don't absolutely love or need it, back to the thrift shop (where is most likely came from!) ir goes!!
xo
i just wanted to wish you luck...i wish i had that kind of willpower!
ReplyDeleteLast weekend I just couldn't take it anymore. I cleaned up me entire house big-time. My biggest accomplishment was taking everything out of my closet and re-organizing it all. I ended up with 4 grocery bags of stuff for good will, and a closet that no longer looks like a bomb went off in it:)
ReplyDeletemy idea of spring cleaning is starring at my stuff and getting so annoyed with everything that i just leave it alone. i know that one day i will get the urge to do a big time cleaning spree =).
ReplyDeletecute doillies!
Oh wow, that is admirable! I'm not sure that I could make it. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteLove the doilies! That's such a beautiful, vibrant red.
ReplyDeleteAnd your will power around thrifting is shocking!! I'm staying tuned on how you manage this =)
I'll take anything you don't want any more! =] lol Dibs!
ReplyDeletewe just finished up a big move which has encouraged a HUGE spring purge. I'm loving it!
ReplyDeleteso SO pretty!
