Melt my Heart
Singer Jenny Lewis is beautiful, folksy & effortless, alluring, facinating, talented and flawless! I think everyone falls in love with her as soon as we hear her calming old hollywood voice or see her endlessly beautiful wardrobe, pale gentle skin and beautiful red hair. She's simply wonderful!
Last night I pulled an all-nighter and caught one of my favorite movies from childhood, The Wizard!
Sharing the Love
You're going to be totally blown away with the Sponsors I have on FN in November... I accepted a few more advertisers than usual because November is the biggest best month for advertising before Christmas and I predict the Mid-Month giveaway will be Donald Trump style, "Huuuuge"!
Since my ad space is full for November, I want to highlight 2 of my friends blog ad options. As you may know, I do ad managing for my friends Rachel and Elsie. They both have just a few spots left, and if you act quick, you can still squeeze in before the October 30th deadline and maximize your shop audience through the busiest time of year!
Rachel's prices range from $40-75 (info here) and Elsie is having a Holiday Special ($70-160) and has set up her website to help you purchase your large or small ad space. Email me if you have any questions or would like to get started :)

some things...
I had Sushi for the first time last night and I really liked it! My boyfriend Keith had told me how good it was so we picked some up at our local grocery. Now I can't wait to go for Sushi next month when my friend Violet comes to stay with me, she can give us tips and save me from anything too weird ;)
Keith and Momma are going on a little Momma/Sonish date next Tuesday since they're the only ones in our family who want to see the Michael Jackson movie. Isn't that cute??? :)
Etsy Shop Update: Tuesday, Nov. 3rd
...it was supposed to be this week but my back is out and I'm still walking around like Quasi Motto, so I've set the official Etsy Shop Update for this Tuesday afternoon :)

I'm working on New Camera Straps, Tie Cuffs & Bangles, *new* Coil Notebooks, Some Pretty Vintage, a New Mini Kit and a few more Surprises :) Is there anything else you'd like to see? Christmas is coming & i'm open to requests :)
And lastly, I really love this song.
Once I get some iTunes bucks, I'm buying Karen O & the Kids "All is Love" and the new Tegan and Sara "Sainthood" album. My bf Jill and I are going to the T&S concert on Jan.15 and I need to get crazy about the new music and practice my over the head handclaps ;)
Peace, LA

Costume Tutorials...
How to Make a Nerd Costume (source)
Gear: Khaki pants, Button down dress shirt, Tie, Pocket protector, Pens and pencils, Thick black glasses, Parted hair, Belt, Dress shoesYou probably have a lot of what you need for your nerd costume hanging in your closet. The difference in a nerd costume is how you wear the materials and how you act...
Step 1: The pants make the most of the nerd costume. The pants should be short, such as reaching to the top of your ankles. You should also have the pants pulled up high on your waist, almost to your chest. The belt will help hold the pants there. The shortness of the pants will reveal the white socks beneath. These socks are usually calf length, but they can also be folded over. The shoes will finish this part of the ensemble.
Step 2: Next is the shirt. The shirt should be a white or otherwise plain material offering buttons in the front. It is your typical dress shirt. What makes it a bit nerdy is the long sleeves, pocket protector, and pens or pencils in the pocket. The long sleeves are usually always buttoned, rather than rolled up. Then you have the tie, which can be any sort. The pattern will probably need to have math or Einstein on it if you can find one. That way you are a math nerd.
Step 3: The parted hair with mousse will add to the nerd look. You also want to have fake thick black rimmed glasses.

And lastly, one of my favorite things in the whole world is to go to the trainyard and hope the birds will fly beside me... it's very magical! I made this video a few months ago hoping to show you but the birds just perched there watching me drive back and forth (honking my HORN!) on the long gravel road (for a good hour with my video camera out the window).. HA! Enjoy the pretty...
