SORRY LEIGH-ANN, I didn't buy you any of these COOL clothes when you were younger, you did have skinny leg jeans though, remember your red ones that you had to have.
ReplyDeleteI did have nerdy glasses when I was younger but they weren't classified as nerdy, they were NORMAL!
School started for me yesterday and ITS NOT MY FAVOURITE HOLIDAY, it's not even a holiday. And I didn't have ANY cool clothes. :(
I will try to call you tomorrow, life has been a whirlwind all through the weekend until now. Hope it stops after tonight.
Love Momma
ah, such wonderful things. i wish i was creative and more fun growing up instead of wanting to fit in with all the "cool" kids!
ReplyDeleteI love this post! Back to school time always makes me want to buy supplies for my not yet existing children <3
ReplyDeleteuhhhh, let's just say... CAN I BE KATE?! <3
ReplyDeletegreat list. love.
xo
oh goodness. You would be the coolest mom ever! I love the list! Totally fab!
ReplyDelete<3
do you want to adopt me?! :) i can pretend to be a teenager, no problem at all! i am a very good child, i always do what my mommy tells me and... if you want, i can pretend to be stubborn and nasty so it feels more like a real teenager ^^
ReplyDeleteaw, i can't hardly wait until i will be a mum... my kids will be the coolest xD and your daughter (^^) will be too! <3
Hopefully your daughter will willingly take your gifts! Don't be upset when she's 12 or 13 and snubs you for all the stuff SHE wants! Don't worry. Once she is approaching 15, she'll welcome your stuff once again.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter went through a phase where she loved pink and wanted to be a cheerleader! Ack- the horror! Now she's becoming a person I like who understands the value of a dollar and enjoys thrifting and making stuff.
Love your list. Any teenager would kill for that fun stuff.
I wish I could be Kate ;) That list is utterly fantastic.

all if this stuff is so much fun!
ReplyDeletelove this post.
I want to be Kate! ;)
ReplyDeleteIf I were Kate, I'd have the coolest mom ever! You have such great style and now I want everything that you listed!
ReplyDeleteAhh, LA, I am so sorry to burst your make believe bubble but if you had a pre-teen, teen or even a girl a little younger, there is no way you'd even begin to please her with your cloths/accesory choices! Been there, done that-my only is a sophomore in college this year (I am young-37 and hip and cool) and her taste was so different than mine. I'd buy her something I liked and was hip and cool and the next day, she was off to exchange it for what SHE really liked. I put my age so you'd know I wasn't some old fart trying to push my old fashioned trends on her...AND by the time your children are pre-teens, you are BROKE. AND there are many more important things to deal with than picking cool clothes for them-like pregnancy prevention, drugs, alcohol, etc... Not bashing, just saying I've been there and had 'fantasy dreams of what/how to raise my children' and it's nothing like reality. Do yourself a favor and get a little dog to dress the way you want to and don't get sucked into clothing battles with your kids.
ReplyDeleteOh and the first days of school every year soon becomes one of the saddest having to let go of your children.
Great choices though! I would want to be Kate too...and I love the appology from you mom;-)
Love you and your blog...Holly S

ReplyDeleteGreat list! I love back to school time. I never have a problem sending my boys off to school...I guess it was the quiet house thing. One of my favorite things about back to school when I was a kid was getting new school supplies. I loved getting a new flip top pencil box and putting all my goodies in it. My boys would be asking me right now what's a pencil box?
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I love everything on the list. I so wish I could go back to high school and do it all over again with the clothes and accessories of today!!
ReplyDeleteKate rules.
As a back-to-school teenager, I would love any of the items on that list! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThose skinnies from Old Navy look SO GOOD! And the hair pins are suuuuuuuper cute :)
