Strawberry Day!! :)

The girls in our family went Strawberry Picking yesterday and holy fun! Like, so special, I'll remember it forever :) Olivia and Kennedy picked me flowers :) I picked them Strawberries :) They pretty much sat with me the whole day b/c I took the stems off for them (if they sat with "the Moms" they were told to pick their own and take off the stems) (Matt gave me permission to show this! EEEEK! I told him, for Christmas, the coolest gift = I would like to be allowed to show my pictures of the girls... I have so many great ones! He seemed to imply he'd consider it for the future...then I'll add Amanda to the list ;) :) Mom, you were glowing yesterday! I think you are happiest in sunny nature :) Together, we picked 5 baskets... and probably ate a whole basket while we picked ;) Last, we picked raspberries and I drifted off into dreamland :) I was so content and relaxed in my own row... walking, feeling the wind, eating berries off the bushes :] I had a great day off! They had an oldschool metal park at the strawberry farm... real teeter-totters, hallowed out trucks, barrels to swing in, fast slides :) After O&K, Mom and I went on the Teeter Totter together... loved it! This is my new favorite future pet. I've made a goal to raise a mini-pony when I'm 40 :) I fell in love with him, and he was pretty smitten with me :] Plus, he actually held poses for photos! my mini pony I can't wait to go Strawberry Picking again next year :)

  1. CUTTTTTE pics!! Sounds like you had a great time--we LOVE strawbs pickin' here, too! This might sound strange but the grocery store ones are JUST NOT THAT GOOD compared to the ones out on the farm!
    Love your pic with the two girls in the hat!

    Sarah, I agree that the picked ones do taste soooo much better than the store bought ones, and they are red all the way through too.

    THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE BEAUTIFUL SHOTS OF ME Leigh-Ann. You could have left them out!!! I made 10 jars of strawberry freezer jam, froze 4 bags, made a strawberry shortcake (I cheated though, made an angelfood cake, BUT I did use real whipped cream) and still have 3/4 of a basket left, may freeze some tomorrow if they don't look like they are going to go.

    Remember, YOU CAN'T HAVE A PONY AS A PET, it's not allowed at the cabin. What will you do with all the horse, I mean pony crap?????? (I have 12 years till LA is 40, maybe she'll forget about it by then, help me Keith!!!!) And the pony didn't pose, it just stood there> :)

    I don't think you will win this one with Matt!!!

    What a fun day. :}

  5. Great Butt shots LA of Momma, I can try and dig up a few more pictures she would love on your blog.

    Once strawberries are finished, then it will be mini Blueberries. ( compared to BC Blueberries )

    Momma you can put a jar of jam in the post to Sleepless in Surrey..... May not make it in one piece though.

    The new drapes are up and looking really nice!

  10. 1. That's the perfect strawberry picking outfit - a red and white check shirt and cutoffs. Seriously.
    2. I love the pic of you in the "isle".
    3. That pony is a freak and I don't like it...sorry is that mean? I mean, it really looks un-natural. All I have to say is Why? and How?

    That was a sweet day off tho!

  12. Jill- Leigh-Ann picked this outfit out thinking the same thing, and then she brought 2 other shirts along so she could change, worrying that the berries may stain it. I told her she couldn't change if she thinks that its the perfect berry picking outfit.

    Love LA's Momma
