  6. My favorite vacation was 2 weeks spent in Acapulco back in 1995 with my parents and my boyfriend (at the time). It was over the Christmas holiday and it was wonderful as I had not seen them for 6 months. I was living in Mexico as a volunteer at the time.

  7. Wow, awesome album! So many little nooks and crannies to look at :)

My favourite vacation was the one I took only 2 hours away from where I live, my husband and I stayed in a teepee for our 1 year wedding anniversary, and we had our own private wood stove heated, lake water filled hottub! It was unique and very fun!

  12. I am in LOVE with this album LA! It looks SO awesome! I can't wait to see how mine turns out, yay! Now I want to order more and more and more of them! My favorite vacation is a hard question to answer because there's the most fun vacation, the most exotic vacation, the vacations where I got to see great friends, etc. I'll choose Spain as my favorite because that is the trip that I credit with changing my point of view on how I live my life. It was a permanent and positive change and I will always be grateful for. Anything is possible if you are open to your dreams becoming reality! xoxo, Joy

  13. My favorite vacation was to the Oregon coast last year. We stayed in a beach house right off the ocean. It was beautiful. The best part was that the place is so dated. (You know not quite vintage - yet) There was no cable, no internet, no phone. I realized that without those things you can really relax and have a vacation!

  16. GORGEOUS ALBUM!!
I keep seeing all these albums and mini-books and journals. I've signed up for Rachel's classes - and I'm dying to hurry and make anything! I've got to find the time, lol.

Anyone who hasn't bought Leigh-Ann's journal kit...needs to immediately! It was so fun to make and I keep going back to look at it all the time...haha I'm ridiculous.

My best vacation was Myrtle Beach, SC - August 2007

It was kind of an ironic vacation, really. One of my best friends was getting married there, but when the groom "freaked out" we (the bride, two other friends, and I) decided to go anyways. So, the entire time it was mainly R & I doing 'vacation things' (seeing attractions, beachin' it up, etc.) since obviously the bride wasn't feeling up to doing much. The two of us would walk down the beach late at night and one of those nights I decided that he was it. A month later we were together and been that way ever since!
If it wasn't for the un-wedding and us all deciding to go anyways, I may have never been with R! So, as bad as it sounds (although I mean it with the best intentions!), I'm thankful they didn't get married that summer! :)

PS - the 'bride' and 'groom' have gotten back together since then...so no worries! :)

  19. Well I have had many vacations over the years that I have enjoyed, especially the ones taken with my family. But the one I loved the most(pretty much) actually started out pretty terrible. It was a full on Wally world experience straight out of Chevy Chase's Vacation. My mom rented us these cabins on Lake George NY which were suppose to be wonderful. Lake views, charming cabins, a beautiful pool, all the wonders of nature. However it was more like mice infested cabins, a view of the lake of dumpy old cars and a swimming pool infested with bugs and unknown science experiments. Oh and lets not forget the people straight out of the movie Deliverance sitting on the front porch of the check in office, in the overalls, spitting out chewing tobacco and toting a rifle. Well of course we didnt stay there, we moved on to a nicer cabin resort and had a great week. But we are constantly joking about that dump of a camp site, and my mom loves to refer to "Welcome to Wally world kids" so I would say it was the best:)

  21. I love this album! It inspires me to get more creative with my photos and journaling, thanks for sharing.
I love a good family vacation but I have to say my favorite vacation ever was when I went to Italy all alone for two weeks in 2005. I had the most amazing time exploring without a schedule and learning as much about myself as I learned about the places I visited.

  22. Your albums are so gorgeous! Truly inspiring work! My favorite vacation took place a couple years ago when my husband and I went to Kalispell, MT to visit extended family. We were able to visit Glacier Mountain and we didn't get eaten by bears so it was all good! :)

  26. The best vacation I ever had was the time I visited Chicago with my Aunt Dollie and two cousins, Charlie and Billy. We had such a great time in the city! All of us enjoyed shopping on Michigan Ave and delicious food! I think that trip is what really bonded us closer as a family. It was very special. :)

  27. I really love this album. I have loved all my vacations and am looking super forward to the one I have coming up in two weeks... I think it could easily become my favorites. I enjoyed my last trip to Cleveland a lot. I was trying to find something nearby to where I lived that was affordable and I decided upon Cleveland. Everyone was wondering why I would even go there. However, it was a lot of fun and there was tons of stuff to do. I really hope to go back soon.

  28. My favorite trip is one I took 2 years this August with my Dad. We went to Monterrey, Mexico for a medical procedure for me. It was absolutely life changing for me. I would have waited at least 3 years to have it done here so I feel like this trip gave me at least 3 years back of my life. I can never thank my Dad enough for getting me there and taking care of me for the two weeks we had to stay.

  30. C-ute album!!

    My fav vacation:
My Aunt Barbie lives in Plymouth, Indiana. I used to and still love going to her house for any amount of time. When I was little (being the only girl out of my two older bro's and 3 older cousins) even when no one played with me I loved it. And this is why - her backyard was such a wonderland! Grasshoppers and lots of little froggies..downstairs was a cave of imagination, there was a pool table, pinball machine and tonnes of toys and games and it was basement like so it felt like a whole other world! My aunt always had tonnes of films to watch, my uncle loved me to bits and they had the best alphabet with marshmellow cereal and spaghetti o's and doughtnuts(at home we never got that stuff) some "Orange Soda" and she made the best sandwiches which I ate on the table that was an old school "booth" from a restaurant. That place inspired when I was little from wanting to be a spy, to a vet, to a nurse to a teacher, (blush) to a toy. Hehe.

Check out me and the cousins and bro's ready for war 4 boys against 1 girl hehe..

  33. My favourite holiday hasn't happened yet (it's next month!), but I know for a fact it will be my best one yet! I live in Australia - I'm Australian and my new husband Chris is Californian. We're heading to California so I can see, for the first time, where he grew up. He's taking me to all his favourite places and I'm finally meeting his family. Finally the mysterious 'other side of Chris' will be revealed...!!! I'm so so so so exciteddddddd!!!

  36. Hi Leigh-Ann, I really like this album, beautiful!!
One of my favourites, probably THE favourite, was my roadtrip to Vancouver with Aunty Sandy, Kody, and Holly. We all had so much fun acting stupid, laughing, playing the music really loud, camping along the way. It built a special bond between Kody and cousin Holly. Every summer, this is one I wish I could do over and over again. What a great time we had.

    Love Momma

  39. Eeepp! My favorite vacation? I've got two. One with Dustin (the Hub) and one with nic (The bestie). Dustin and I go to Santa Cruz It's our spot. We stay at the same Bed and Breakfast and go to all of the shops and boo stores that we've gone to 100 times. We sit on the beach and wrap our selves up in a blanket and watch the sun go down. (wow.. that sounds really corny!) Hehe! Nic and I went to a *cough* Twilight Convention *cough* where we had the time of our lives. We got to meet one of the actors and his band and had beer with them and talked early into the morning. It was awesome. I'm a lucky little lady to have been blessed with two people to vacation with! :D

  43. i love your album! it was not fancy, for sure, but my favorite vacation was a few years ago when my boyfriend, josh, and i drove 300 miles to bakersfield, ca in his 1930 model a coupe for the california hotrod reunion. the car show itself was nothing special, but driving down there with friends and hanging out at the buck owens crystal palace was something i will never forget. it truly is a reminder that it does not matter where we are, but who we are with. it was a great trip! xo

  44. I haven't been blessed by the vacation fairy, but my hubby and I did take an extended getaway to the Salish Lodge in Snoqualmie falls where we got a couples massage, hiked down to the falls, and had amazing room service. It was pretty darn amazing...

  45. My favorite vacation has got to be when my parents took me and my twin sister to memphis tennessee when we were 14. We only stayed a few days, but every day was wonderful. I loved roaming up and down beale street (with parents, of course!) and hearing the blues music flowing out of every bar and off of every street corner. Plus, the odds-and-ends shops were amazing--i still have vintage movie scene stills from them. It was where I fell in love with seventies home decor courtesy of Elvis and Graceland, and I can't wait to go back one day and see the Lorraine motel and Sun studios (though we did drive by and peek in the windows of sun :) ). I'm counting the moments until I'm able to go back.

And, I really, really, really would love to have a banner made by you.

    My fav vaca:
This past March, to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary, Paul and I took our kids to Kauai. It was amazing... it was magical. I had been dreaming, and saving, and hoping, and more dreaming of what this vacation was going to be like, and it was exactly what I had hope for.
I miss it so incredibly much! It was the closest thing to what I imagine heaven to be.
And great, now I'm all emotional about it. :-)

  49. oooh i love me some giveaways!

so i think my favorite vacation would have to be my solo trip to colorado last summer. it was the beginning of a new stage of my life and it was so amazing to just enjoy the moment up in the mountains by myself. i stayed at an adorable b&b in breckenridge and spent the days sleeping in late, watching hundreds of reruns of 90210, sipping chai's in cool coffeeshops... and dreaming of what my life could be! so fun! i'm going again in a few weeks... but this time it is to plan my move there!

    aren't vacations fun? : )

  50. my favorite vacation was, when i was like 12 or something. my parents, me and my mom's brother with his wife and 3 children aaaaand my beloved grandma weht to denmark. we lived in a wooden house and went to the northsea every day. i so much love the northsea because it is stormy and wild and rough! we were searching oisters and letting kites fly and went fishing with our fathers. it was obviously the best time of my life!

if i had known my grandma was going to die a few months later, i would have treid harder to keep the special moments we had, in my heart.

it's my favorite vacation memory because i loved my grandma so much and it still hurts she's gone. after 13 years, it still rips my heart out... :/

even if i dont win, remembering the holiday has made my day so thank you :)

My favorite vacation was back in 2001 when I went on a 7 day Royal Caribbean Cruise by myself. My very first trip ever (in every aspect of the word)that means first times for everything...including plane ride, helicopter ride, submarine ride, lobster, escargo (sp?), muscle, snorkling, pirate ship. Such a good time! I want to do it again!
