did you know...

You can fill up your photospace for your blog? After 916 posts, I've used mine up and can't photopost till I have money to buy more space. Which is the only way I like to post :( I'll work it out tomorrow, Loves LA ps. Typepad has it's own downfalls, like slooow photo uploads (and you have to do them individually, not in 5's), and from my experience (in my friends typepad), it's less easy to make it look cool. I'm totally sticking with Blogger, you couldn't pay me to move to Typepad. You guys know me, I'm a think outside of the box problem solver. I'll figure this one out for us and get back to you :) Until I do, I'll continue to delete old photos or upload via Flickr :) New post coming later today :)

  1. I did not know that! Aw that sucks...so I guess we have to be careful if our snaps make the cut? I bet I am about to run out of space because I post a ton of pics.

  3. Maybe you can work a deal out with Blogspot/Blogger to advetise them - seeing as they along with Typepad are the main source of blogging for crafters and etsy shop owners - imagine - your face, smiling saying "We at FreckledNest.com love Blogger" hehe.

I try to post half and half, half uploaded from computer half from facebook. I preffer from somputer coz it resizes it for me.

Good luck girl, we love your pics! xxo

  4. I hit the same problem a few months back. I deleted some of the older photos so I would have more space. But that made me cry so now i have been uploading via photobucket, flickr, facebook.. anywhere that I can put a photo so it's not 'hosted' on blogspot via picasa. It really bugs me that there is a limit. Wish it was like flickr, that you had a new limit each month. I can't post without photos, I feel naked!! Please share if you find a solution because I don't want to pay blogger because after 12 months you still have the storage problem and STILL have to pay them for the photos you have on your blog already.

  8. What?!?!?! What is the limit? How many can you use? How do you post them? Do you upload them from your computer or host them from another site and post the url? -e

  11. I actually didn't know that...thanks for the update! I usually post photos, too, so this is kind of a bummer :-(

I had a question, though, the sidebar stuff that you have (like the "how to" picture), I was wondering how you create those. Do you have a pen/tablet thing? I'd like to make some of those for my websites and whatnot...hope you can help me out! Thanks :-)

  14. I always resize and compress my photos. Why have a 3000 pixel wide photo, if it's only going to preview at 400 pixels ya know? (and then 1/2 the time you can't click for a larger view, blogger annoys me).

Anyway, I've been doing this for 2 years now (!!) and have only used about 30% of my storage.

I did want to use larger photos, so I've been using flickr as I already have a paid flickr account. Keep in mind that there is a flickr limit too, I believe it's 300 photos (unless you pay). You could always open multiple accounts.
