I want to Inspire you!! :)

Keith and I are decorating our home for our first Christmas together (insert this feeling:
and we can't get enough! Tonight...we're putting up CHRISTMAS LIGGGGHTS outside!!! Eeeeek! :] I have been crafting like crazy these past few weeks... and I have some superfun craft ideas to share with you!! :] I'm going to share a new Christmas craft project every weekday till I run out of things to share!! And they're all really affordable and easy to make :) You can get all the supplies from your craft stash and at the walmart, michaels and/or dollarama. hehe ;) Here is our first project! An Advent Calender Here's how you make it :) (I should note, I made this a few years ago... and I got the idea from another crafter... but I don't remember who she was, sorry.) 1) Use a small cookie sheet (this one was from Dollarama) and paint it. Acrylic paint will work best :] I used one coat of the Making Memories brand paint and added a spray clearcoat to protect it. 2) Use a sheet of cardstock and a black thin tip marker. Draw a calender grid 7 columns across by 4 rows down. And I used some Christmasy rubber stamps at the bottom to decorate it. 3) The December title: I used foam alphabet stamps and black acrylic paint. Then added some dots underneath (with the non-brush end of a paint brush). 4) Use a crop-a-dile to punch 2 holes along the top. Add a long piece of ribbon for hanging it :] 5) Here's the fun part :) Making the 1-25 magnets! I took out all my random bits I'd been collecting (ie.hoarding)... game pieces, charms, bottle caps, dice, scrabble pieces, old keys, small playing cards, buttons, bells, eyelets, ribbons, chipboard scraps, stickers... and stuff to decorate them :) Paint, stickers, rubons, stamps, marker pens... anything with numbers :) And i just...did em! Have fun with that! :) 6) Hotglue a strong magnet to the back of each numbered piece :) I found packs of small magnets at a dollar store for really cheap :) 7) Now you're done :) Keep the numbered charms in a dish beside the advent calender and put each one on as we countdown to Christmas!!! Eeeek! :) Tomorrow: One of my favorite things I've made! You'll see ;)
