Q. What do you want to do before you die?
Courtney and I discovered a show called
the Buried Life (it's even better than
Taking the Stage)... it's about 4 guys (cuteones) taking a bus across the country, crossing off a list of 100 things they want to do before they die! And they're DOING it! I watch every week and feel inspired to never accept no as a possibility to the future of my dreams.
So today, I'm gonna share a big one...
I want to be on Ellen. I want to share my joy with the world, teach a craft, tell my story, sit in those seats and dance with my 'positivity-idol'. And now I'm gonna figure out a way to do it! Any suggestions?

Before I die I'd like to spread and show love! I'd love to make some music, write a book, fall in love, learn to juggle (i'm working on that at the moment!) and thank all the people that have inspired and shown me love. And sooo many other things. Making a blog is one of those things, and your blog is an inspiration, thanks!!

Before I die I want to Drive in Nascar although I am probably getting a little old haha, or maybe drive a Formula One Car at Spa, or a Sprint Car at Eldora. A Formula One Car would probably top the list though.

oh oh oh i love this question! I've always wanted to do something HISTORICAL, like make a new discovery in science, or when I was younger i wanted to invent a new breed of rabbit because I loved breeding rabbits (I was a weird kid) but something that people might read about in school. I guess that's why I'm doing a science degree instead of an arts degree!

the last time i heard from him was when i was 12.
and the last time i saw him i was 9.
i'm not really sure what i'm looking for with talking to him.

my husband i and are both self employed and work from home. our dream is to take the kids out of school, sell the stuff in our home, and live in a camper. we are setting up a 4 year plan. i can not wait to travel and live wherever our hearts desire.

ReplyDeleteThis is a cute question. I've been wanting to catch the Buried Life on TV. I have two goals before I die--one is more concrete and one more abstract. The abstract one is I want to find exactly where I fit in; you know, just find a really good place in life where i'm content with what i'm doing and surrounded by good people. My concrete goal is to visit Greece!

I'm convinced that if I ever have one of those big "AHA!" moments, it would be there, staring at the most perfectly beautiful sculpture in the world. I would love to do a tour of art galleries and museums across Europe and the US.It would have to include all the major ones and also the little obscure ones too. So LA, So I totally know jeannie klisiewicz, she is on Ellen all of the time! She went to school with my sister at the University of Illinois. Essentially her story is that she entered in every single one of Ellen's contests, since the beginning of the show, and she NEVER won. so Ellen called her to tell her that she STILL didn't win, and invited her to the show. She liked her so much she gave her a job. HA! I'll pass this blog on to her. Hey, you never know. Maybe one day Ellen will be giving you a call. :)

Ah! Perhaps I should watch more television! The only thing I do watch on television is Project Runway which leads me to my "What I want to do before I die"- be on Project Runway! Everyone gives me positive reinforcement, and I tried to apply when I was eighteen (and highly unskilled at that point), but you have to be twenty-one! Just five more months!

This week we made it first one as we were at the Vancouver Olympic Speed Skating - Women's 3000M seeing Canada come in third. We cheered on Kristina Grove, Cindy Klassen and Clara Hughes. "Go Canada Go!" The crowds were wild!I have never witnessed such cheering before in my life.
The second one will be accomplished at the end of this year with a 12 day cruise thru the Greek Islands. I do not know if it is the scenery or the food I am more excited for.

I have a whole list, but an exciting one would be to make an animation (stop motion/pixilation combination), animating myself and complete strangers, and shoot in as many different cities and countries and continents as possible.

ReplyDeleteI have a long list of things to do before I die. I do at least 2 things every year...but I probably add more than than I accomplish. Last year was skydiving and a mini-marathon
The ONE that I'm afraid I'll never actually accomplish is to be in the Olympics. I trained to be an olympic gymnast but had an injury that sidelined that dream. Still hoping to go...maybe as a curler, or a coach, I'd even settle for being a media member, but I'd really REALLY like to be a part of the olympics in some significant role.

before I die... I want to wash my hair underneath a waterfall.. now, I'm not talking waterfall like Niagra Falls waterfall, but just a small little one in a rainforest somewhere. It's pretty much a reenactment of an Herbal Essence commercial. One of the many things on my endless bucket list!

I think it would be amazing to go thrufting across the country!! you would find so many cute things from everywhere! I would want to do that or go to Europe and visit my Friend Tim who was a foreign exchange tudent at my high school.

Ooooooh I would love to go to Australia. Don't know why but that has always been the place I wanted to go to. And I have a husband and son who never want to go anywhere. We'll never have money to go. Can't afford it. Makes me a little sad. I'm 47 and I would really like to see a little more of the world that is out there before I die.

Wow your dream is AWESOME! I watch Ellen every single day, and I truly believe that if you wrote in and shared your story with her that there is a very good chance that she would have you on the show! She is truly an inspiration to everyone...and her positivity is unbelievable.
ReplyDeleteMy dream is for my husband and I to one day adopt a child who is less fortunate than we are. We have no children of our own...and I would have never thought I would ever want to adopt...but I think it would be unbelievable to adopt a child and raise him/her in love because he/she might not have had that otherwise. That is my dream. :)

Before I die, I would LOVE to backpack across Europe and Asia--not have any set plan, but just to go. No plans on where I'm going to stay, what I'm going to see... just to go. No time limit. See as much as I can, but not in the touristy way.

Something I'd like to do before I died... Well really I want to just be happy in a career that I love doing. I want to have a tiny garden on a balcony in New York City with those cute night string lights that Id plug up and curl up under watching the stars at night while sipping on sweet tea(yes even in NYC haha). I want to grow old knowing that this is the ulimate fixation of happiness... Traveling the world would be nice, I admit, but I think life is way too short to not be happy... I believe that anyone could have something simple as my dream and be happy with life.

WOW thats a hard question to answer . I actually have a list for things I want to do and it has over 365 things .Ranging from small little things to bold and daring feats . A taste of my wants is to go to the olympics , black watering rafting in New Zealand , falling in love, joining doctors without borders , skidiving , zip lining in the amazons , seeing the great wall of china, skiing in the alpes and many many many many more things
