Hi Friends,
This week has been a doozy! Fun word!
My Macbook Air bit a bullet & is in for repair so I'm on my old white macbook but with none of my key files (gaaa, stress! --all my Home Ec projects are on it plus a blog makeover I'm working on). I'll be catching up on my email today and tomorrow.
I'll be back tonight with Part 2 of my Dress Series but wanted to share 3 Lala Mishaps of the week because now I'm ready to laugh about them and invite you to join in ;)
1. I was grabbing a subway sandwich to take home after some shopping. I had bought 2 pillow forms and was so sleepy, I joked with my friend that I'd just take a nap while in line. As I used my 2 cushions to my advantage, I leaned on the 'glass shield' at subway... I felt myself falling and the shield closed on the subway vegetable options and I fell with it (like, towards the counter)... SO embarrassing!
2. I was hunting for deck furniture this week and went to "Rona" (like a Canadian Home Depot). But I thought I was at Home Depot and said to the salesman... "Ya, you're other Home Depot was out of stock!". Duggggh! I wasn't at home depot!
3. Jill gave me a pretty vintage floor lamp last week and I was excited to set it up :) I put the bulb in, installed the pretty shade I'd thrifted, plugged it in and-- suddenly, "Darn! It's not working!". Disappointed and dismayed, I instantly pictured my dad rewiring it and worst case scenarios. Five minutes later, you could say the 'light went on'. I realized my power was off the whole time because a light fixture was being installed in the bathroom. The lamp works fine, other connections might be loose in LA though ;)
Bonus Gem: 5 young boys in my neighborhood are playing knock knock ginger on me for the last few months... and I'm fully at 'The Crazy Lady on the Street' stage (so many stories in that topic alone). I'll let you use your imagination ;)
And if you remember this Fail story... that tire ended up costing me $337. Oy, sometimes I don't know about myself ;)
xox, Leigh-Ann
#1 made me laugh. something i would do.

ReplyDeletexo.
Oh man, LA, I'm so sorry! I definitely know how those weeks are! What is knock knock ginger? Is that a Canadian thing?
ReplyDeletehaha the subway story was funny!!
ReplyDeletealso what is knock knock ginger? :)
Knock knock Ginger is when you knock or ring the bell, run and hide.... in my case, the boys ring the bell, lola barks, i go to the door ... and no ones there... i hear giggling and see the boys hiding. then i threaten to tell their moms again.
ReplyDeleteLOL, how could we not remember your tire story. tee he he <3
ReplyDeleteand in the US we call that game "ding dong ditchet" -- i loved to play it when i was a kid. haha :]
{sorry you are the victim though.}
I've never heard of knock knock ginger before! I wonder where that name came from? What does ginger have to do with it?? hehe. Your mishaps are so funny - to look back on, of course. Those things are always better once they're over, right!!!
ReplyDeleteOh Leigh-Ann, klutzy Leigh-Ann. Did you just get the bill for the tire now??I thought you were going to tell me the glass broke. :(
ReplyDeleteNot to bad a signal tonight, you know what I mean. He he he!
Love you, miss you!
Love Momma
Mom, you should really speak more in code, what if the signal owners read LA's blog and discover that youre stealing their internet. You might go to jail!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love you both
ReplyDeleteHaha these are hilarious! So funny!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you and I have a lot in common. I am so clumsy and I do and say the dumbest things sometimes. Oh well. :)
ReplyDeleteand i love you even more. you are not alone in your space cadet antics. ;)
ReplyDeleteLA, hey there! I was just curios about home ec. I purchased a spot in the class last Monday and I have not gotten an email yet. Was I supposed to? Or am I just worried for no reason? Have a pretty Sunday!
