Feature & Giveaway: grrfeisty

Hi! I’m Roxy, AKA grrfeisty. I’m a small and spunky Cuban American gal living in Houston, Texas with my boyfriend of 5 years and my 3 beautiful dogs. My current interests involve rollerblading/skating, travel, photography, craftiness, and animals! By day I teach math, and by night…I sleep. :) I love sewing and stitching in my spare time – which luckily, as a teacher, I receive a decent amount of spare time!

Most of my ideas stem from doodles. Whether on the phone, in a class, or on an airplane – I love to doodle [especially with felt tip pens!]. Lately I’ve been skipping the pen and paper part, and use my scissors to doodle through a piece of fabric.  I never thought I’d spend so much time cutting cute little things out of fabric and felt.  I really love it!! :)

The theme of my shop, Feisty Fabrik, comes from the fact that I've always been a feisty little person [5 feet tall!] with a love for bright colors.  In German, "fabrik" means "factory."  So technically, instead of the cute misspelled use of "fabric," the shop name means "Feisty Factory!" I love keeping up with the "feisty factory" and visiting with people at shows.

 The best feeling is when you see someone do a double take and walk over to your craft fair booth.  I love watching their expressions as they notice the silly little plushies or unique accessories. I believe that making a statement with brilliant colors keeps you lookin' fine and feisty :)
